These terms cover clips ordered from ancestalk.app, run by [Your full name], [postal address or business address] ([contact email]).
For $9 (shown in your local currency at checkout), you get one short video clip, about a minute long, of an AI-generated voice speaking as your ancestor. It's emailed to you, usually within 3 days of payment.
Payment is handled by Stripe, which acts as the reseller (merchant of record) for your order. Your receipt comes from Stripe, and the price includes any sales tax or VAT.
The voice, portrait and words are created with AI. They aren't recordings of, or real likenesses of, your ancestor. Historical details are researched, but the clip includes imagined thoughts and feelings, and it may contain mistakes. Please don't rely on it as a genealogical record.
I may decline any order and refund it in full, for example if it's about a living person, a well-known public figure, or someone in the requester's own memory, or if it's hateful, sexual or meant to deceive.
If you're not happy with your clip, email [contact email] within 14 days of delivery and I'll refund you in full, no questions asked. You can also cancel for a full refund any time before your clip is delivered. When you order, you ask me to start work straight away, and you agree that the legal 14-day cancellation right for digital content ends once the clip is delivered. The refund promise above still applies.
The clip is yours to keep, share and post for personal, non-commercial use. I'll only feature your clip on Ancestalk's own accounts if you've given permission, for example by tagging @ancestalk. Please label it as AI-generated if you post it.
Only send details and photos you have the right to share.
If something goes wrong, the most I'm liable for is what you paid for the clip. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales]. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protections your local consumer law gives you.
